On April 7, the Davidson County Board of Commissioners toured the I-85 Corridor Improvement Project. In this photo, they’re hearing about the contractor’s progress on the temporary work bridge over the Yadkin River, which serves as the platform from which crews and their equipment are building the new I-85 North and South bridges.

Project Manager Adam Mathews with the joint venture team Flatiron-Lane discusses the construction of the temporary work bridge over the Yadkin River, following the Secretary’s media briefing on Jan. 13. He told the reporter 15 segments of the bridge were complete, and in February, the foundation work could begin on the I-85 North bridge over the river.
